If this sounds like you, I can help.
I distinctly remember the hopelessness I felt as I looked around my house and thought, “I’m drowning.”
Everywhere I looked there were overflowing closets and things shoved in nooks and crannies that hadn’t been touched in months, or even years.
The daily tasks of laundry, planning for dinner, and cleaning the house felt like a heavy load. I would do what I needed to do, but always felt like I was playing catch up. I was impatient with my kids at their innocent question, “what’s for dinner, mom?”
I knew things needed to change. I just felt lost as to how.
Are you feeling overwhelmed?
Do you feel like you’re drowning in stuff?
Unable to catch your breath because you don’t have regular habits in place?
Want to clear the clutter in your house and in your mind so that you can focus on what really matters?
You are not alone.
I have been there. Two years ago I was in my early forties and felt frustrated that I didn’t have these basic skills down pat. After all, I’m a wife of over 18 years, have three sons, and have owned a home for over ten years – why was this so difficult?
I would get really fed up and “get organized” for a day or two…then I would lose steam and things would go back to the way things used to be.
It’s not until I began intentionally forming habits that things changed. Two years later, I’ve been able to slowly establish daily and weekly habits that have brought order to our house and peace to my mind and heart.
