Happy New Years Eve friends! We have had two full weeks of celebrations with our youngest son’s birthday, a Christmas Eve Reveillon party, Christmas, and a relaxing, joy filled visit with cousins.
As wonderful as holidays are, I’m feeling grateful to be back at home. I’m looking forward to getting back into the normal rhythm of our days.
Top 5 Posts in 2015
As 2015 closes, I wanted to share the top 5 blog posts from Setting My Intention. I am so thankful for the connections with readers and other bloggers that I’ve made in the past 10 months. It has been a true joy to write, share, commiserate, and encourage one another.
Number 5
So, at #5, we have Meal Planning for Beginners. This was the first of 4 posts I wrote in August and September as I tried (once again) to develop the habit of meal planning. I’m happy to report that I’ve been meal planning ever since!
In case you’re interested, the rest of the series is Stress Free Meal Planning for Beginners, Stress Free Meal Planning for the Busy Family, and One Chicken, Three Meals.
Number 4
Coming in at #4 is our Basement Clutter Reveal. This is a post that shows the honest to goodness state of our area of shame before we began decluttering with gusto. Our hope was and is to encourage others that they are not alone in their physical/mental/emotional struggle to let go of “things.” This also chronicles my husband and I trying to negotiate and work together in the process. This is an ongoing series for 2016 – stay tuned!
Also in the Basement Series: Decluttering Momentum, Decluttering One Corner at a time, 3 Things NOT to say when Decluttering with your husband,

Coming in at #3 is Over 25 Experience and Clutter Free Christmas Gift Ideas. This is a recent post that has great ideas for any special occasion – birthdays, anniversaries, or gift ideas to say thank you.
Number 2
Coming in at #2 is Editing our Clothes with the KonMari Method, Part 1. With all of the publicity about the KonMari Method, I’m sure you’ve read all about it – but in case you haven’t, this first post goes through the book’s recommended steps in detail.
You can find Part 2 here – where we actually go through the process with our own clothes!
Number 1
And finally, the top post of 2015 was….How 5 Minutes a Day can be Life Changing. This seems particularly fitting as we enter 2016 because it’s a post about developing habits 5 minutes at a time. I share my story of taking small steps towards developing a morning routine and a fitness routine several years ago. Developing these habits, one a time, brought me to the place where I could begin decluttering regularly.
Thanks for taking a walk down memory lane with me! Happy New Year friends!
What has been something in your “Top 5” from 2015? I’d love to know!
This post shared at these link ups.
Ah, I love this round up. Such good information in here. Meal planning is a pain in the butt – especially when all of a sudden you start factoring in a boy who eats double what you do. Also KonMari completely changed my wardrobe in 2015. Such an awesome motivator in achieving simplicity.
Hi Chrystina! Thanks for dropping by! I agree that the habit of meal planning is difficult – especially planning for men folk (or growing teenage boys)!
Can’t wait to check out some of these posts 🙂
Thanks for sharing.
xoxo, Jenny
I love how diverse these posts are! It looks like people are looking to simplify pretty much every area of their lives.
Just like me! ?
These all look like great posts and I can’t wait to check them out! Thanks so much for sharing at Share The Wealth Sunday!

This is a great roundup and the only one I can think to add to it (just because I’m partial to it) is your running with friends post! 🙂 Happy New Year!
Thanks for adding one that you enjoyed this past year Suzanna!
I LOVED all of these posts! Especially the meal planning one, so helpful! 🙂

Thanks Adriana!
Such a great and diverse post, Angella. Happy 2016 to you and your family.
Thank you Hadia! You too!
I just read through your decluttering series. I am trying to do something similar now. Our family room feels so good now that the Christmas tree and decorations are down that am challenging myself to keep it a clutter free zone. Every evening I am trying to put away every little thing to keep it from piling up. Enjoyed your posts!
Thank you Carolyn! I agree that as nice as a Christmas tree is, it’s very nice to get that space back!
I love the basement one and the five minutes a day. They were my favorite.
Thank so much for sharing at Simple Saturdays.
Thanks for reading and commenting Valerie! I really appreciate it. I’m looking forward to joining your link up regularly!
Congrats on a great year, Angela! I love seeing what posts were most popular, your #1 was one of my favorites!
Thanks Hannah! I love reading these top posts too. There are so many wonderful blogs out there so it’s nice to have a “best of” list to read
